Let’s Create
Win-Win Relationships

At Intco, we prefer to be allies rather than to engage in price cutting business rivalry. The business pie is large enough for stakeholders of the coal industry to work together, combine their individual strengths and share profits.
To move forward, we have identified three groups with whom we want to build collaboration in the foreseeable term.
Although we have international marketing rights for BBM coal, we are always on the lookout for other sources of coal to grow our revenue base.
Owners of existing or new mines are welcome to join us in developing the market, in a win-win relationship.
But, in the long term, we certainly do not wish to restrict ourselves to coal. We want to get ourselves involved in other commodities where we can use our strengths to our advantage.
As the BBM coal mine is located in Central Kalimantan, produced coal has to be transported by trucks via coal hauling roads to its river jetty and then by barges through the Barito River to a transhipment point in Taboneo Anchorage where it will be loaded onto mother vessels.
At different points along the river, river barges or large ocean barges will be needed. Shallow draft and self-propelled barges are needed for the upstream section of the river while larger barges capable of loading up to 10,000 metric tonnes will be required for the final leg of the journey along the Barito River.
Cokal Ltd has mandated us to advise them on the selection of logistics providers, including barge operators. We are presently talking to potential suppliers.
We understand the structure of the global coal trading business. Long-term relationships have long been forged between big traders and major end users.
As a new player, we are open to working with traders who have legacy contacts, and indeed, we are in discussion with some of them to offtake the BBM coal. They can either act as our Buyer or as our agent to the end users if that is preferred.
Each of us come to the table with different kinds of knowledge of the market and different strengths. The market is big enough for us to prosper together.
Of course, we would prefer the arrangement of dealing directly with end users.
So, whether you are a trader, or an end user, let’s see how we can help each other.
